The Covington-Newton County Chamber of Commerce conducts Ribbon Cuttings, Ground Breakings and Grand Opening Ceremonies as a free service to Chamber Members.  Ceremonies can be performed by themselves or as part of an open house.  We supply our member the camera and take the photos, ribbon, shovels if needed, and official scissors.  To qualify, you must be a member of the Covington-Newton County Chamber of Commerce and:

• You should be within your first year of opening your business 
• OR you should be within a year of purchasing an existing business
• OR you should be an existing business in a new location
• OR you should be ready to break ground on a new location

There are many benefits to having a ribbon cutting, grand opening, or ground breaking ceremony for your new business or location.  Chamber Ambassadors will attend ribbon the ceremonies on behalf of the Chamber.  Having Ambassadors in your business provides excellent networking and publicity opportunities. 

Ceremonies are held only on Tuesday at 10:00 AM or 2:00 PM or Thursday at 10:00 AM. (Tuesday ceremonies typically have a stronger attendance)
